  广东迎宾馆一直是广东省政府的接待宾馆。曾经接待过120多个国家的政府要员，60多个国家的政府首脑。希思、西哈努克、李光耀、伏罗希洛夫、金日成、赛拉西、尼克松等以及中国的毛泽东、周恩来、刘少奇、朱德、邓小平、李鹏等中央领导都曾住过或在此进行过外事活动。
广东迎宾馆位于广州市解放北路，与历史名胜六榕寺隔路相望。距中国出口商品交易会一公里。占地面积五万七千五百平方米，其中绿化面积约占一半。馆内古树参天，环境幽雅，亭台楼阁，鸟语花香，素有“闹市绿洲”之美誉。一九九四年经国家旅游局评定为四星级涉外酒店。
宾馆设有包括总统套房在内的各种套房和标准房共310套；格局地方特色、装潢别致的餐厅房30多间。欧陆式宴会大厅一次可容纳60宴席共700人同时就餐。宾馆提供自酿啤酒服务。
